It opens a scope session, adds priced items, revises as the conversation changes. No credentials, no account, no card.

A quote is locked
A signed, short-lived quote with line items and a total. The price cannot move between quote and pay. Change the scope and a new quote is issued, linked to the old one.

The assistant hands over a link. A person opens it in a browser, sees exactly what was scoped and by whom, confirms, and pays by card.

The receipt goes back to the assistant. The audit trail shows the exact moment the human entered.
Rules with teeth
Enforced by the database, not the interface
No agent can complete a payment
Confirmation requires a human browser session. A payment can never be recorded as paid without one — the database rejects it.
The price cannot change after quoting
Every quote is signed with a server-held key and verified on read. A tampered quote fails verification.
Quotes are insert-only
A scope change writes a new quote pointing back at the one it replaces. Nothing is rewritten in place.
An expired token never pays
It produces a re-quote link, never a silently refreshed price.
